It’s always good to go in new directions and I have been experimenting with several things….
The sketch above is at a Kowalski’s grocery store and I was sitting on the upper level looking down. I decided to try a new perspective—sketching from above. Most of my subjects are head-on, but this was fun and a different way to work. I did watercolor shapes and outlines first, then pen, which is a different way of working for me..
The next sketch is of the Sencha Tea Bar where I was enjoying some chai tea. I decided to try sketching in one color pen, and that was a red one. I liked trying this as well.
This final sketch is of some people outside our library in our Central Park (indoor park). I am using a new vertical Moleskine small sketchbook, so that was fun too!
