I recently got back from a weekend in Itasca, MN. We stayed at a cabin on Lake Itasca, which is famous for being the location of the headwaters of the Mississippi River. It was a beautiful weekend. We walked the headwaters, took in the scenery and wildlife, went kayaking and fishing, and enjoyed an all-around good time at our north woods adventure. A paddleboat company did trips around the lake and river and while my family was fishing one evening, I decided to sketch the boat. It was docked and quiet in the water, and as the sun set and dusk approached, I liked all the sunlit areas. A smaller boat was parked nearby. It was a beautiful evening to sketch!
